Meet Dr. William H. Young

Dr. William Young is a lifelong native of Pittsburgh, growing up in Hampton. As a third-generation dentist, he follows in the footsteps of his father, Dr. William Young; his mother, Dr. Christine Rylands Young; and his grandfather, Dr. Robert Rylands. His younger sister, Dr. Haley Brose, also practices dentistry in the McCandless area.

Dr. Young graduated from the University of Dayton and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital in Aspinwall, where he worked with veterans and honed his skills in restorative, prosthetic, and implant dentistry.

Dr. Young and the staff at Why Dentistry are so pleasant. Every time I walk in I am greeted with smiles. The staff takes the time to show their patients that they care. They are personable and professional. They tell you what to expect before your procedure. Dr. Young fixed 2 of my molars pain free within an hour… while I completed my virtual meeting. This is the best dentist that I have been to in a long time.

Dr. Young and his staff are the best in Pittsburgh. It is a pleasure to deal with everyone in the office they are extremely helpful and welcoming. I needed to have some work done and I am so glad I went to Dr. Young. He put together a game plan of how we should do the work and explained everything about what we were doing. When it came time to do the work he knocked it out of the park. Best dental experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Young and his staff for anyone looking for a dentist.

Dr. Young is one of the best dentists I have ever been to and typically I hate going to the dentist. He not only takes wonderful care of his patients but also spends time getting to know you as well. I haven’t met many dentist that have both the skill set and bedside manner like Dr. Young. Highly recommend!!!

After looking for a new dentist in the area post-college, I started going to Dr. Young's office! The whole staff is incredible and really good at answering any questions that I had about getting a night guard, ortho recommendations, insurance, etc. The location is super easy to get to in Shadyside with parking. Highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist in the Pittsburgh area!

Hands down the best dentist in Pittsburgh. The staff is super friendly/helpful, the office offers abundant parking, and they have early hours to fit my schedule. If you are in the market for a new dentist, I cannot recommend Dr. Young enough.
